An international PhD workshop is being c0-hosted on campus from 17-21 April 2023.  The workshop is organised by colleagues from the Departments of Logistics (EMS) and Industrial Engineering. The world-renown presenters are Prof Alan McKinnon (Scopus) and Prof Kai Hoberg (Scopus), both from Kühne Logistics University, Hamburg, Germany.  They will be supported by local staff members and SA industry experts from the logistics industry.

 

The Khune Foundation is sponsoring ten PhD students from Europe and ten PhD students from other African countries to attend this international PhD workshop.  We have a rare opportunity for ten Stellenbosch University PhD students (preferably with a focus on sustainable logistics and supply chain management to join the group at the Engineering Faculty, Stellenbosch for the week’s programme.

 

The cost for this workshop for SU PhD students is R2 500 per person to cover expenses for lunches and dinners.  If needed accommodation and transport will be for their own expense.  Supervisors or research groups are welcome to nominate and sponsor participants.
